Air Arabia has integrated the AED-pegged stablecoin AE Coin as a payment option for flight bookings, marking a significant step in the UAE’s digital currency adoption. The Central Bank-regulated token offers 1:1 dirham parity, combining price stability with cost-efficient transactions.

Customers can now select the AEC Wallet during checkout on Air Arabia’s website. "This partnership with Mbank reflects our commitment to digital transformation," said CEO Adel Al Ali. The MOVE signals growing institutional confidence in blockchain-based settlement systems within Middle Eastern aviation.
